Responsible Gaming

Your wellbeing is our priority. Play responsibly and know your limits.

Our Commitment

At Lucky Barrel Poker & Sports Bar, we are committed to promoting responsible gaming and providing a safe, enjoyable environment for all our patrons. While poker and gaming can be entertaining recreational activities, we recognize that for some individuals, gambling can become problematic.

We take our responsibility seriously to ensure that gaming remains fun and within your means. This page provides information, resources, and tools to help you maintain control and make informed decisions about your gaming activities.

What is Responsible Gaming?

Responsible gaming means making informed choices about when, where, and how much you gamble. It involves:

  • Understanding that gambling is entertainment, not a way to make money
  • Setting limits on time and money spent gambling
  • Only gambling with money you can afford to lose
  • Balancing gambling with other activities and responsibilities
  • Recognizing when gambling is no longer fun
  • Seeking help when gambling becomes a problem

  • • Hiding gambling expenses from family

Emotional Signs

  • • Feeling anxious or irritable when not gambling
  • • Gambling to escape problems or feelings
  • • Mood swings related to wins and losses
  • • Depression or suicidal thoughts

Behavioral Changes

  • • Spending increasing amounts of time gambling
  • • Chasing losses by gambling more

If you recognize several of these signs in yourself or someone you know, it may be time to seek help.

Tips for Responsible Gaming

Set Limits Before You Play

  • 1.Money Limit: Decide how much you can afford to lose before you start. Never gamble with money needed for essentials.
  • 2.Time Limit: Set a time limit and stick to it. Use alarms or reminders if needed.
  • 3.Loss Limit: Decide in advance when you'll stop if you're losing. Never chase losses.
  • 4.Win Limit: Set a target for winnings and walk away when you reach it.

Additional Guidelines

  • Never gamble when under the influence of alcohol or drugs
  • Don't gamble when you're upset, depressed, or in pain
  • Take regular breaks during gaming sessions
  • Balance gambling with other leisure activities
  • Don't borrow money to gamble
  • Keep gambling in perspective - it's entertainment, not income
  • Be honest with yourself about wins and losses
